We are seeking a full-time in-house ecommerce photographer to style and shoot our product photography. In this role, a strong eye for consistency, details, and efficiencies are a must. Ecommerce photographer will oversee the studio processes and protocols to ensure that monthly product shots are readily available to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to light and style a variety of products from shiny metal and glass to plush fabrics and wood while showing the scale and uniqueness of each product
- Work collaboratively with creative and other teams to help develop and evolve photography style
- Follow, maintain, and keep up to date product photography brand and style guidelines
- Provide photography for our website, our business site, marketplaces we are part of and potential future site needs
- Understand deadlines and schedules in order to help prioritize products
- Assist with brand and seasonal lifestyle photography as needed
- Maintain consistent file naming conventions and file structure
- Communicates and meets with creative team, merchants, and ecommerce teams weekly to provide status updates and other pertinent information
- Upkeep and care of studio equipment, props, and supplies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in photography /similar discipline, or 5+ years of related experience
- Studio photography experience with glass and/ or reflective surfaces
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, Capture One, Google and Microsoft programs
- Experience with a variety of product photography including glass and/or reflective surfaces
- A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in lighting and product photography
- High-level of technical photography skills in operating camera gear, software, and lighting
- Manage multiple deadlines and priorities working closely with creative team and other departments
- Able to work in fast-paced, retail environment, adjust priorities and schedule as needed
- Understanding and ability to execute basic retouching in Photoshop
- Proactive with technical and creative problem solving
- Basic understanding of typography is ideal
- Video editing skills a bonus
