In 2022, AW Chang Corporation remained committed to being socially responsible. We believe in ensuring sustainable, ethical sourcing in our production as well as giving back to our wider community. Here were some of our highlights of 2022:

WRAP Certified

Our cut–and–sew factories hold a Gold certification from the Worldwide Responsible Accreditation Production agency. Gold is the standard WRAP certification level, awarded to facilities that demonstrate full compliance with WRAP’s 12 Principles.

Solar Powered

Our fabric mill in China is now powered by a hybrid energy system consisting of 1,550 solar panels. The 16-row field infrastructure is designed to capture maximum sunlight to harness into an energy source. With power shortages faced throughout China, this hybrid system provides a clean and reliable energy source for the mill to operate.

The energy sourced from our solar panel fields will lead to annual green effects for a positive impact on the environment. We are extremely proud to provide our customers and partners with products that do not compromise our planet.

Giving Back

Donations

AW Chang Corporation believes in building connections with non-profits that align with our values. While we had long term partnerships with Best Friends Animal Society and Coral Reef Alliance via our brands CON.STRUCT and Brooklyn Brigade respectively, we donated to 20+ charities, schools & churches throughout the year. These included River Fund, Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling Services, Foothill Family Center, Union Rescue Mission, Homeless Healthcare LA, Raphael House, Shelter Inc and more.

Cause Partnerships

Brooklyn Brigade x Coral Reef Alliance: Our brand, Brooklyn Brigade partnered with Coral Reef Alliance in support of their mission to save our world’s coral reefs, which house 25% of marine life. Our flat donation of $10,000 contributes to the expansion of global education & rehabilitation initiatives.

To take a step further, Brooklyn Brigade’s collections are treated with Intellifresh™ odor and freshness protection for more wears between launderings. This helps to reduce water consumption.

CON.STRUCT x Best Friends Animal Society: CON.STRUCT is proud to support the mission to end the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters and find them safe, loving homes. As a Best Friends Animal Society official licensee, CON.STRUCT launched the Animal Guardian collection in 2020 which is inspired by and in support of the organization.

2023 & Beyond: Recycled Fabrics

From 2023, our shirts will be made from 86-90% recycled polyester- reducing soil contamination, water pollution, energy use and generating fewer CO2 emissions. Added comfort for our customers, without comprising the planet.
